B2B MEETING – Ecological water transport in the 2030 perspective
The theme of the conference were issues related to the development of maritime and inland waterway transport in the Metropolitan and Vistula Subregions. The conference was held in the Starter Incubator on October 10, 2019.
Advanced technologies and pro-ecological solutions of CRIST S.A. shipyard presented Daniel Okruciński – General Manager, Sales & Business Development, Crist Shipyard, member of the Baltic Sea & Space Cluster. Innovations introduced to shipping by Wärtsilä Corporation and Wärtsilä Corporation Wärtsilä innovative solutions for shipping industry was presented by Teus van Beek – General Manager Ecosystem Innovation, Open Innovation team at Wartsila.
Metropolitan Shipping – activation of water transport in the Metropolitan Subregion, activation of neglected port locations, a unit for Metropolitan Shipping type SWATH with variable draft was the subject of the presentation of prof. Teresa Abramowicz-Gerigk “Eco TransMarine”, prof. Zbigniew Burciu “Eco-TransMarine”, Karolina Horn – Bureau d’étude Ship-ST. The use of a hydraulic laboratory in the search for pro-ecological solutions for waterways was discussed by dr inż. Piotr Szmytkiewicz Deputy Director of the Institute of Water Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Clean energy for ships.
