SelectUSA in Gdańsk

The Pomeranian Export Broker together with the American Embassy organized a meeting in Gdansk as part of the SelectUSA Poland project on March 2 this year. The Baltic Sea and Space Cluster took part in this interesting meeting. Guests were welcomed by Neil Pickett, Commercial Attaché, U.S. Embassy Warsaw and Sławomir Halbryt, President, Regional Chamber of Commerce of Pomerania.

SelectUSA is a government program run by the US Department of Commerce. It is addressed to large and small companies. These are information meetings that help in making business decisions. Particularly useful for managers who want to operate on the US market. Experts and representatives of American states presented to Pomeranian entrepreneurs legal, tax and customs principles related to conducting business activities and investing in the USA.

Legal Aspects of Expanding to the United States was presented by dr hab. Justyna Regan, Miller Canfield. On the subject of banking solutions for companies expanding to the U.S.A said Wojciech Petryszyn, Citi Handlowy. The following US states, their industrial and scientific potential were presented: Georgia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tennessee. The essence of the American Investor Club at AmCham operation was discussed by Ewa Mróz, American Chamber of Commerce. The current rules for obtaining Investor Visa are explained by Karolina Orton, Consular Officer.
