The subject “Maritime Informatics” (see https://maritimeinformatics.org/) is evolving quickly as an academical and practical discipline that will have important implications in shipping and logistics. Correctly applied it will facilitate and make maritime transport much more efficient, transparent and economically competitive.

Our RISE colleague Mikael Lind is a leading expert and will shortly be the world’s first professor in Maritime Informatics at Chalmers, department of Mechanical and Maritime sciences. You are as an E-LASS member welcome to listen to his inaugural lecture on 3 March 13:15-14:00 (CET). A short discussion will follow the presentation.
