SEADATA and REXS.IO, Polish SME are led by 2 consortiums. Baltic Sea & Space Cluster is the GALATEA Project partner.
SEADATA will implement the CORAL project together with partners from Spain and France. REX.IO will implement the ABAMS project together with a Romanian partner.
It is a great success for the first GALATEA call with 76 projects submitted by innovative European SMEs to the Blue Growth Accelerator.
After one intense month of joint evaluation operated by the GALATEA consortium partners and associated experts, the results have been announced to the applicants.
25 selected SMEs will get direct financial support from the voucher scheme (1.259M€ in total) to undertake development and technology transfer activities, prototype projects and demonstration projects that aim to tackle challenges related to energy, logistics, environment, digitalisation, service development, security and manufacturing in the four Blue Growth domains supported by the GALATEA project: Smart Port, Smart Ship, Smart Shipyard and Maritime Surveillance.
GALATEA Blue Growth Accelerator supports 8 SMEs across Europe with professional and mentoring services
In addition, 8 SMEs will benefit from 18 professional coaching and mentoring services provided by GALATEA partners to develop their innovation and scale-up activities such as business model elaboration, technology potential assessment for given markets internationalisation actions or exploring funding opportunities.
The second round of Innovation Clubs and B2B meetings will be held in September.
Four Innovation Clubs sessions will be organised, one for each GALATEA domain and its challenges, to encourage SMEs in proposing innovating solutions to the challenges identified and to form cross regional consortia.
During each session, participants will be Invited to collaborate following an Innovative “design thinking” methodology to develop Innovative Ideas responding to the challenges emitted by GALATEA.
Afterwards, a B2B matchmaking event is planned to enable SMEs to meet and consolidate concrete partnerships.
The second Call for Voucher will be launched in autumn 2021.
