  • ATINER is planning a series of activities for China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The plan is to organize various symposiums on the BRI. These will be organized as part of ATINER’s annual events. If you want to contribute a proposal, ATINER can send you more information. Additionally, ATINER would like to apply for research grants and your support and guidance can be of great help.
  • Dr Oluwafemi Omoniyi Oguntibeju has been appointed Senior Research Fellow in the Natural & Formal Sciences Division (SD) of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER), with effect from 1 January 2022 until 31 December.
  • Dr Alistair Martin-Smith, University of Toronto, Canada, visited ATINER’s downtown office and met with President Dr Gregory T. Papanikos and discussed various academic issues.
  • Mr Mario Nicoliello, Researcher, University of Genoa, Italy, visited ATINER’s downtown office and met with President Dr Gregory T. Papanikos and discussed about prospects for project collaborations.
  • Our Research Fellow, Aleksandra Tryniecka (Assistant Professor, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, Poland) published her first book “Bunky and the Walms: The Christmas Story“. It is a novel about the power of friendship, courage and loyalty, but also about the unique relationship between our reality and the literary world.   • The Congress on Gender Studies (https://gendercongress.com/), co-organized by ATINER, will be held virtually on 10-12 November 2021. The congress program is available at: https://gendercongress.com/?page_id=17.
  • A Symposium on Democracy will be organized next May as part of the 16th Annual International Conference on Sociology. You are welcome to submit a proposal for presentation.
