Gdynia Maritime University – Inauguration of the Academic Year 2022/2023

The ceremonial inauguration of the academic year 2022/2023 of the Gdynia Maritime University took place at the Pomeranian Quay in Gdynia, in front of the sailing ship “Dar Młodzieży” on October 8, 2022.

Students, doctoral students, University employees and invited guests were welcomed by the Rector of Gdynia Maritime University, prof. dr hab. Eng. Capt. Adam Weintrit, and then congratulatory letters were read, which on the occasion of the Inauguration of the Academic Year 2022/2023 were addressed to the Rector of UMG by:

President of the Republic of Poland – Mr. Andrzej Duda,
Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland – Mrs.Elżbieta Witek,
Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland – prof. Tomasz Grodzki.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Gdynia Maritime University will be your second home, and at the same time your window to the world and also to the sea – if you have chosen the maritime specialties of studies. The doors of four faculties are opened for you: Electrical, Navigation, Mechanical and Management and Quality Sciences. The Doctoral School is opening up for PhD students, said Adam Weintrit, Rector of the Gdynia Maritime University.
