Ørsted and the Gdynia Maritime University have signed a Letter of Intent on cooperation in education and research

The letter of intent was signed by Joanna Wis-Bielewicz from Ørsted and Prof. Tomasz Tarasiuk, Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Development, Gdynia Maritime University.

Gdynia Maritime University has many years of experience and impressive achievements in training staff for maritime business and maritime administration. The University has experience in the implementation of scientific and research works for the maritime economy.

Ørsted is a leader in the construction of offshore wind farms. For over 30 years, it has been developing offshore wind farm technologies. Ørsted built the first offshore wind farm in Vindeby (4.95 MW) in 1991 in Denmark. Ørsted has built the largest wind farm in the world today – Hornsea 2 (1.3 GW).
