Drones do not only control exhaust emissions. The Baltic Sea in danger – it will need support
EMSA (European Maritime Safety Agency) uses drones to support maritime authorities in monitoring emissions from ships. Recently, such support has been launched by the French administration in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. But not only the monitoring of ship emissions is the goal of EMSA’s helicopter and drone operations.
Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Services (RPAS) are offered by EMSA free of charge in all EU countries. They were launched to assist with maritime surveillance operations and the monitoring of emissions from ships. They are designed to operate in all waters surrounding the European Union.
