A hybrid ferry with project number P 317 left the Crist shipyard. The project is made for Finferries. The design of the ferry is the work of engineers from StoGda Ship Design & Engineering and LMG (Nordic Fastening Group).
The ship will sail on the Nauvo-Korpoo route in Finland. The P 317 is powered by electric motors. The batteries are charged from land. Charging the battery takes a few minutes. The ferry, 70 meters long, can accommodate up to 52 passenger cars or several semi-trailers, trucks and coaches. The ferry can carry up to 200 people on board. The ship is two-sided. This enables faster loading and unloading.
Only one person can operate the ferry. On the Nauvo-Korpoo service, the ferry will operate under the control of two crew members.
