Panama Maritime Authority (PMA) conducted a follow-up audit in PRS
Panama Maritime Authority (PMA) conducted a follow-up audit in PRS. This activity, referred to as the Recognized Organizations Oversight Programme, involves performing maritime administrations’ supervision over their Recognized Organizations (RO), according to the RO Code, last week.
The previous audit took place in 2016. This year the audit was carried out by 3 PMA auditors. Representatives of the Panamanian maritime authorities checked, among others, PRS compliance with the general requirements of the RO Code and examined the correctness of the statutory certification processes. The audit ended with a positive result – a recommendation to maintain the PRS authorization to act on behalf of the Panama Maritime Authority, which is the biggest flag in the world.
