IDA Bootcamp 2024 – Pomeranian Special Economic Zone is a project partner

The Pomeranian Special Economic Zone has become a partner of the IDA Bootcamp project focusing on technological innovations in the security of Polish borders on land and sea. The project aims to support start-ups and enterprises developing modern solutions to protect our country.
– IDA Bootcamp is a project supporting the adaptation of civilian technologies for the needs of national resilience, defense and security. During the IDA Bootcamp, we connect small technology companies with the end user (the Polish Armed Forces), the defense industry and investment funds – informed Polish Development Fund.

The Pomeranian Special Economic Zone will actively support young talents, promote innovation and contribute to strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Pomeranian region, primarily through the activities of the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park. .

Project goal: Meeting the needs of the Polish Armed Forces and the defense industry with the simultaneous commercial success of innovators. IDA is 2.5 days of impact-focused workshops and business meetings between innovators and representatives of the defense sector, technology companies, the Armed Forces, and investment funds. Companies and scientific units developing technologies (approx. TRL VI and above; min. IV) on the civil market that have the potential to adapt technologies for the purposes of increasing the resilience, defense and security of states.
– PSSE’s involvement in the IDA Bootcamp 2024 project is another step in implementing our mission to support innovation and development of the region. This year, we were also among the accelerators of the Startup Booster Poland – Smart UP program of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, thanks to which we obtained nearly PLN 17 million for the implementation of the Acceleration Zone project. In this acceleration program, we will focus mainly on three areas – the maritime industry, industry 4.0 and life science – says Radosław Wika, Director of the Science and Technology Parks Department of PSSE.
