The Gdynia Seaport Authority S.A. has signed a 20-year lease agreement with Medlog Poland, a company belonging to the MSC group, for the total area of 59,787 m2, intended for the operation of a container depot. The Minister of Infrastructure and the General Meeting of the Gdynia Seaport Authority S.A. have given their consent to conclude the lease agreement.
– We are pleased that Medlog Poland and the MSC Group continue and strengthen their presence in the Port of Gdynia while undertaking long-term investments – says Piotr Gorzeński, President of the Management Board of the Morski Port of Gdynia S.A. – This is proof that we are perceived by world-class logistics operators as a reliable and forward-looking partner.
Medlog Poland has been present in the Port of Gdynia since 2021, when it began cooperation with the BCT terminal, providing service support for MSC and other shipowner containers. In July last year, the Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. announced a tender for the lease of nearly 6 ha in the western part of the port, intended for running a container depot.
The winner of the second stage of the tender, conducted for the first time in the Port in the form of an electronic auction, was Medlog Poland – thus gaining the opportunity to conduct business in a much larger area.
