SEA-EU Beyond Borders

Strengthening Global Academic Collaboration

SEA-EU continues to expand its international reach, reinforcing its leadership in higher education innovation and collaboration beyond Europe. At the 4EU+ 1CORE Workshop for Alliances, held in Brussels and online, SEA-EU’s General Director, Fernando Pérez Peña, shared best practices on governance models, highlighting the alliance’s successful strategies for integrating associated partners. Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, SEA-EU strengthened its global presence at the UDD International Week in Chile, where General Coordinator Marcela Iglesias delivered a keynote on curriculum internationalization as a driver for global engagement in higher education. These engagements reflect SEA-EU’s ongoing commitment to shaping the future of internationalization, fostering meaningful partnerships, and ensuring that European university alliances remain at the forefront of global academic cooperation.

How We Communicate in SEA-EU

The SEA-EU alliance’s “Inclusion” working group is actively committed to fostering inclusive communication and promoting an open and respectful mindset within the university of the alliance.

The charter, “How We Communicate in SEA-EU,” is the result of a collaborative effort among alliance experts, primarily developed during an in-person meeting at the University of Brest (UBO) in October 2024.

These communication guidelines, approved by the alliance’s executive committee, will now be applied to all events organized under the SEA-EU framework.

This charter serves as a key reference for the development of future communication campaigns in English, whether in written or visual formats, ensuring an inclusive and accessible approach for all audiences.

The inclusive communication charter helaborated by the SEA-EU Alliance Teams.
