17 scientists from all over the world will visit the University of Gdańsk

17 visiting professors from all over the world (including Great Britain, Japan, the USA, Belgium, Portugal and other countries) will come to Gdańsk to give lectures.
– The University of Gdańsk consistently promotes and strengthens the role of visiting professors – says Dr. Hab. UG prof., Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Internationalization. – Our program is part of the university’s strategy of engaging in shaping internationalized education and a more sustainable future for scientific development. It also means a commitment to promoting international scientific cooperation and enriching education.
This is the fifth program of the University of Gdańsk. It is part of the Excellence Initiative “Research University at the University of Gdańsk”. 28 applications were submitted for the program for 2025, for a total amount of PLN 566,450. Almost 61% of applications received positive assessments. The awarded funding amounts to PLN 243,200.
Scientists from abroad will conduct scientific research. Scientific research will be conducted in the fields of humanities, social sciences and exact and natural sciences. After the research, the research results will be published in renowned international journals. There will also be scientific projects jointly developed with Polish scientists from the University of Gdańsk. The competition winners of the Excellence Initiative “Research University at the University of Gdańsk”.will conduct a total of 165 hours of lectures.
