SEA-EU – an activity highly rated by the European Commission

The European Commission has highly assessed two SEA-EU oceanographic campaigns. Oceanograf is a research vessel of the University of Gdańsk. International cruises of scientists from European Union universities were carried out in 2022 and 2024. Both research cruises are not only original activities of scientists.

The cruises of the Oceanograf ship also played a significant role in promoting the initiative of international scientific cooperation of European Universities. The cruises contributed to the popularization of marine sciences and environmental protection. During the scientific cruises, scientists of the SEA EU project measured changes in the marine environment. In ports, open events were organized on the Oceanograf ship to popularize sustainable development of the oceans. Educational activities were carried out.
