Steel Cutting Ceremony for the second “Miecznik” Frigate BURZA

Steel Cutting Ceremony for the BURZA ship – the ceremony took place at the PGZ War Yard. Three frigates for the Polish Navy are being built at the shipyard in Gdynia. The ships are being built by the PGZ-MIECZNIK Consortium with the support of partners from Great Britain.
The ceremony was attended by, among others, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence; Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy; Aleksandra Kosiorek, Mayor of Gdynia; Reserve Lieutenant General Dariusz Łukowski, Secretary of State, Head of the National Security Bureau; Beata Rutkiewicz, Pomeranian Voivode; Rear Admiral Jarosław Ziemiański, Inspector of the Polish Navy. There were representatives of government and local government administration, commanders of the Navy and representatives of the Polish army.
– The Miecznik program is being developed today from our ambitions, from our responsibility, the frigate Burza, previously Wicher, and soon Huragan, three frigates in this program will be fully armed and combat capable. The Miecznik program is a large investment program worth several dozen billion zlotys, it also includes operation, armament, use and development. – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense.
