The Port of Gdańsk will build a modern border control center

The Port of Gdansk Authority will build an Integrated Border Control Point. 2 ha of port area has been allocated for the investment. The investment will be in the vicinity of the Baltic Hub terminal in Gdansk. The agreement on the implementation of the first stage of the investment, covering the development of design and cost documentation, was signed by the Pomeranian Voivode Beata Rutkiewicz and the President of the Port of Gdańsk Dorota Pyć. The ceremony of signing the decision on the construction of the Integrated Border Control Point took place with the participation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak.

The Integrated Border Control Point will carry out border checks on shipments of products introduced into the European Union mainly through the Baltic Hub container terminal. The following will have their offices: the National Revenue Administration, the Border Veterinary Inspection (GRIW), the Border Sanitary and Epidemiological Station (GSSE), the Provincial Inspectorate of Plant Protection and Seed Inspection (WIORiN), the Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Quality of Agricultural and Food Products (WIJHARS). 235 people will work in one shift in the offices of the Integrated Border Control Point.

Integrated Border Control Point will consist of 9 floors of an office building (6200 m²) and 3 floors of a border control hall (9200 m²). Parking for 230 employee cars will be located on the roof of the hall.
