Hanwha Ocean – NAUTA – PGZ Stocznia Wojenna Cooperation Agreement

Hanwha Ocean and PGZ Stocznia Wojenną and Stocznią Remontowa Nauta signed the MoU during the MADEX 2025 trade fair held in Busan. The aim of the agreement is to support the modernization of the Polish Navy and the Polish shipbuilding industry. The MoU was signed by Marcin Ryngwelski, President of the Management Board of PGZ Stocznia Wojenna, Monika Kozakiewicz, President of Stocznia Remontowa Nauta and Charlie S.C. Eoh, President of Hanwha Ocean. Representatives of the Polish Navy, Cadm. Włodzimierz Kulagin, Head of the Armament Board of the Polish Navy Inspectorate and Commander Piotr Skóra, Head of the Maritime Technology Department at the Armament Agency, were present at the signing of the agreement. 

Representatives of PGZ Stocznia Wojenna and Stocznia Remontowa Nauta visited plants belonging to the Hanwha concern, including the shipyard in Geoje. The Korean partner proposes to create a modern infrastructure for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) for Polish Navy ships. Development of Polish local content is assumed. Hanwha Ocean may launch a fund of USD 100 million from its own resources for the development of the Polish shipbuilding industry. Hanwha Ocean and PGZ Stocznia Wojenna will explore potential opportunities for joint development of cooperation in the construction of ships and unmanned surface and underwater vessels.

Today Nauta with easy sea access offers excellent conditions for performing works for even the largest vessels operating on the Baltic Sea. The diversified core business activity is based on 2 segments: repairs & conversions of merchant vessels and defense production.
