The most important meeting of the maritime industry in this part of Europe
BALTEXPO is the region’s leading maritime and military industry fair that offers an unrivaled platform for companies to present their offers, plans, achievements and innovations to thousands of potential customers, investors or business partners.
The 2023 edition gathered almost 200 exhibitors from 15 countries on an impressive area of over 12,000 m 2 , attracting over 6,500 registered participants, including representatives of ministries, regional authorities and representatives of leading companies in the sector.
Mateusz Kowalewski talks to Andrzej Bojanowski, president of MTG, about BALTEXPO – International Maritime and Military Fair organized by the Gdańsk International Fair. BALTEXPO has over 40 years of history, and the military part has over 20 years of experience. Each subsequent edition of the BALTEXPO fair has brought something significant.
BALTEXPO will definitely be a bigger event in 2025 than it was in 2023. Our ambition is for it to be the most important event in the Baltic Sea Region. We are working on organizing BALTEXPO 2025 together with our partners, because the TWRG will be important, both in the military and civilian areas. There is a great perspective to show what is happening in the world and in Poland. There are many budgets, especially in the military area. There is also activity in the maritime industries. Shipbuilding is active. There are many investments in the energy sector. We have something to show and we have something to sell – says Andrzej Bojanowski, president of the Gdańsk International Fair.

Andrzej Bojanowski: We will present the Kormoran mine destroyers together with the Navy in the Port of Gdańsk. There is the “Miecznik” project. This significant project will be presented at BALTEXPO 2025 by the Naval Shipyard and the PGZ Group. The “Orka” submarine project is promising. These are three important topics related to the development of the Polish Navy. The military part of BALTEXPO 2025 will be very strong. Ro-Paxes are being built in Poland. We have Polish CTV projects, units that will service wind farms in the future. CRIST, Nauta, Grupa Stoczni Remontowa are very active, they have a large portfolio of projects already implemented.
– I have no doubt that together we are able to show the potential of the Polish shipbuilding and repair industry. We are showing the potential of the Polish maritime economy at BALTEXPO 2023, we will also show it in 2025 – says Andrzej Bojanowski. We wanted BALTEXPO to be seen from the perspective of seaports, infrastructure and the offshore energy industry, because these areas are undergoing enormous changes.
A Sea of Possibilities for the Maritime Economy CONFERENCE
The Baltexpo 2025 conference will focus on current challenges and possibilities related to the development of the maritime economy in Poland and in Europe, especially in the context of energy transformation, sustainable development and technological innovation in the maritime sector.
Participants will have the opportunity to take part in discussion panels on key topics, such as the development of port infrastructure, cybersecurity in ports and maritime transport, financing of the maritime sector, analysis of factors related to ESG (environmental, social and corporate order) in the context of maritime economy, safety of supply chains in the face of global crises and international cooperation in the face The scope of maritime environment protection, as well as the shipbuilding industry and analysis of current trends and challenges that affect this sector.
