The Port of Gdynia Authority’s net profit for the first half of 2025 was PLN 81.6 million, a 19.4% increase compared to the first half of 2024. Port Gdynia terminals handled nearly 13.1 million tons of cargo in the first half of 2025. 65% of the cargo was general cargo, primarily containers. General cargo transshipment increased by approximately 10%, reaching 8.5 million tons.

Port Gdynia container terminals transshipped nearly 536,200 TEU between ship and quay, representing a more than 19% increase in container supply. Cargo volume increased by 0.5 million tons, representing an 11.1% increase in goods compared to the first half of 2024.
The increased container supply in Gdynia is the result of the launch of a new service by Mediterranean Shipping Company. The Port of Gdynia has officially joined the Britannia service network, a direct ocean connection between Asia and Northern Europe. The Port of Gdynia is also part of the Gemini Cooperation, an alliance of two major container shipping companies: Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd.
There were 18 cruise ship calls at the Port of Gdynia in the first half of the year. Nearly 46,300 tourists arrived in Gdynia. This represents a 24% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
