Polish seaports in the first half of 2025 – ACTIA FORUM REPORT

The global transshipment of Polish ports in the first half of 2025 amounted to 68,462.7 thousand tonnes, i.e. 1.05% more than in the same period of 2024 (+708.1 thousand tonnes).

All Polish ports saw increases in general cargo turnover – by +12.23% in Gdańsk, +5.53% in Gdynia, and 5.53% in Szczecin-Świnoujście. The decline in the share of bulk cargo in the structure was primarily driven by declines in coal and grain volumes. In the first half of 2025, declines in liquid fuel turnover also contributed to the change (-0.95 percentage points).

In the first half of 2025, Polish ports handled 25,093.5 thousand tons of fuel, 1.5% less than in H1 2024. The only increase in handling occurred at the Port of Szczecin-Świnoujście, where fuel transshipment increased by 23.61%. The Świnoujście LNG port received 40 deliveries by LNG tankers in the first half of the year.
