PRS CONFERENCE – Intermodal Transport Safety

The PRS CONFERENCE – Intermodal Transport Safety, took place on November 20, 2025, in Gdańsk and online. The conference was attended by PRS experts, representatives of businesses, universities, and regulatory institutions. The conference presented the latest legal regulations and ordinances governing intermodal transport operations.
Legal, technical, and organizational solutions that impact intermodal transport safety were presented. Safety conditions for infrastructure were presented, regulations and standards for intermodal transport management were discussed, and human competencies were discussed. New technologies used in intermodal transport were presented.

Key conclusions from the conference (Kinga Lowińska-Neumann):
• There is a need for further harmonization of standards and better cooperation between sectors,
• The role of cybersecurity and analytics in transport is growing,
• Investment in infrastructure is essential.
• Investments should be made in the development of competencies of employees working in intermodal transport,
• Ensuring occupational and process safety is a key element of the efficient operation of the entire system.
