Demo Day. Pomeranian Special Economic Zone Supports Startups

Demo Day summarizes the activities of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone project team, which supports startups. The Baltic Sea and Space Cluster is the promoter of this project. 368 startups have submitted their projects to PSSE since the program began.

The Acceleration Zone Demo Day was organized by the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone as part of the Startup Booster Poland – Smart UP initiative. During Demo Day, projects from companies selected for implementation during the first round of the acceleration program were presented. As part of the PSSE Acceleration Zone initiative, 14 acceleration agreements were signed. Startups received over PLN 5.4 million in grants for the implementation of innovative projects. Twelve additional projects were selected to begin pilot projects with leading technology recipients, shipyards, seaports, and other companies seeking innovation in their manufacturing and service operations.

The program aims to support 44 startups, with a total grant value of PLN 15.6 million. Project partners include: Orlen SA, Energa SA, Anwil SA, Port of Gdańsk Authority SA, Port of Gdynia Authority SA, PGZ Stocznia Wojenna sp. z o.o., Rezonbio (Polpharma Biologics SA), PZU Lab SA, Qlevel HR sp. z o.o., Primavera Parfum sp. z o.o. sp. k., Farada Group sp. z o.o., and MEWO SA. Two more large, recognizable entities will soon join the program.

During Demo Day, startups presented solutions developed in response to specific challenges posed by technology recipients. These innovative solutions addressed the needs of large companies: PGZ Stocznia Wojenna Sp. z o.o. and the Port of Gdańsk Authority SA, PZU Lab SA, Rezonbio (Polpharma Biologics SA), Farada Group Sp. z o.o., and QLevel HR Sp. z o.o. During DEMO DAY, startup projects implemented in the Go Global track were showcased. The event included project presentations, an EXPO ZONE, and networking opportunities for exchanging experiences and establishing business contacts.
