Port of Gdańsk Business Mixer – the presence of Polish business in Japan

The Port of Gdansk organized B2B meetings in Tokyo at the end of November 2025. The topics were project proposals and cooperation opportunities. Representatives from government administration, ports, and the maritime industry participated in three panel discussions. Representatives of Polish and Japanese companies from the maritime and logistics sectors presented the potential for cooperation during meetings at the Business Mixer in Tokyo. The meetings aimed to develop business relations between Poland and Japan.

The Business Mixer was hosted by Dorota Pyć, President of the Port of Gdańsk, who presented the strategic position of the Port of Gdańsk on the Baltic Sea and the importance of the Port of Gdańsk for international trade and logistics connections of global markets with Central and Eastern Europe.

The meeting was attended by, among others: Mariusz Boguszewski, First Secretary of the Polish Embassy in Tokyo, Hayakawa Tetsua from the Japanese Ministry of Infrastructure, Land and Transport, Marta Szczygieł from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Tokyo, Yokoshima Naohika, President of the Japanese government agency NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technologies Development Organization), Mateusz Samulak, president of ASE GROUP PROJMORS., Kazuo Uehara from Nippon Express, Jan van Mossevelde, CEO of Baltic Hub, Grzegorz Samoć from DSV, Takeshi Kojima from Takenaka, Takahiro Matsuse from Sohbi Kohgei, Mikołaj Trunin from Invest in Pomerania, Jakub Wnuczyński, President of Baltic Towers.

The Port of Gdańsk Business Mixer featured a presentation of Polish companies operating in the maritime sector. In Tokyo, companies such as Baltic Hub, Panattoni, Projmors, Doraco, Polska Grupa Kosmetyczna, BLG, Clurgo, Idego, Balteam, and Frach Group showcased their service potential.

The Port of Gdansk will be launching a floating LNG regasification unit (FSRU). The terminal will be chartered from the Japanese company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. Ocean container operator ONE (a joint venture of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha) manages the feeder service to the Baltic Hub container terminal in Gdansk.
