On 2 January, yard number 322, a commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV), was towed out from the dock hall to the outer dock. The yard’s heavy-lift department mounted the tower on the newbuild using its powerful crawler crane, with a lifting capacity of up to 600 tonnes – informed Ulstein Verft.

The CSOW hulls marked with numbers NB322 and NB323 were built in the halls and dry dock at the CRIST S.A. shipyard in Gdynia. The CSOW hulls, designated NB322 and NB323, were built in the halls and drydock at the CRIST S.A. shipyard in Gdynia. The contract between Ulstein Verft and JP Morgan Asset Management was signed in January 2024. The operator ordered two Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs). The vessels were designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions AS and tailored to the client’s needs for open sea operations. Each vessel is 89.6 meters long and based on the Ulstein SX222 design. It features the TWIN X-STERN system.

The vessels are powered by a hybrid battery and prepared for green methanol, making them future-ready for low-emission solutions. Equipped with a motion-compensated gangway, a lift tower, a 3D crane, and optimised logistics, the vessels provide a flexible platform for operations and maintenance (O&M) and support for construction work at offshore wind farms.
