Szczecin and Świnoujście Ports – 34.79 million tons in 2025

The Szczecin and Świnoujście ports transshipped 34.79 million tons of cargo in 2025. This represents a 7.5% increase in cargo volume at both ports’ terminals compared to 2024.

The supply of general cargo increased, including ro-ro general cargo transported by ferries between Świnoujście and Swedish ports. At the LNG terminal in Świnoujście, imports via LNG tankers increased by over 30%. Container transshipments increased by 44% at the container terminals in Szczecin and Świnoujście. Coal transshipments declined, while grain and timber transshipments were lower.

The LNG terminal received 80 LNG carriers, mostly carrying gas from the United States. The terminal also received the 400th delivery in the history of the Świnoujście terminal in November 2025. The first commercial LNG loading took place at the new Jetty 2 quay in 2025. The new quay increased the terminal’s liquefied gas handling capacity. The first commercial LNG bunkering was carried out in November 2025. An LNG bunker carrier loaded fuel onto the TT Line ferry Peter Pan at the Świnoujście Ferry Terminal.

The new Polish ferry, Jantar Unity, is also being bunkered in Świnoujście. The liquefied natural gas (LNG) that powers the vessel is delivered by tanker trucks from the LNG terminal in Świnoujście. The ferry is bunkered three to four times a week by Polish LNG suppliers. Polsca Baltic Ferries has signed an agreement for the supply of LNG fuel with Orlen.
