Port of Gdynia – ZKS Ferrum will build elements of the Polish nuclear power plant

ZKS Ferrum will lease the quayside area of the Port of Gdynia. The Gdynia Seaport Authority will lease production facilities to a Polish company. ZKS Ferrum will build components of a Polish nuclear power plant.
The Port of Gdynia Authority and the management of ZKS Ferrum have signed a lease agreement for a 3.2-hectare site at the Port of Gdynia. ZKS Ferrum is a Katowice-based company specializing in the construction of large-scale steel elements.

The signing of the 20-year land lease agreement took place in the presence of Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance and Economy, Arkadiusz Marchewka, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, and Jacek Karnowski, Deputy Minister of Funds and Regional Policy.
The agreement was signed by Piotr Gorzeński, President of the Port of Gdynia Authority, Walery Tankiewicz, Vice-President of the Port of Gdynia Authority and Krzysztof Kasprzycki, President of the Management Board of ZKS FERRUM. Honorata Szlachetka is the Vice-President of the Management Board for Finance in the ZKS Ferrum S.A. group.

The area leased by the Port of Gdynia is equipped with full road and rail infrastructure. A modern production hall with an area of 12,000 m² is located on the quayside. The production hall is equipped with 10 overhead cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 20 to 100 tons. The administration and staff building is equipped with all the necessary equipment for office and production workers. A railway siding with cranes is available on the leased premises. A station for loading heavy structures onto vessels is located on the port quayside next to the production hall.
