The Pomeranian Special Economic Zone – Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. agreement

The Pomeranian Special Economic Zone signed an agreement with Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. during the 5th Regional Forum of the Polish Arms Industry in Gdynia. The aim of the cooperation is to support investments, develop new technologies, and build a domestic supply chain for the defense sector.

The Pomeranian Special Economic Zone will support companies with the competencies, technologies, and production potential to produce in the defense sector supply chain. The agreement was signed by Mirosław Kamiński, President of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone Management Board, and Jan Grabowski, Vice President of PGZ.

The Pomeranian Special Economic Zone is the leader of the Polish Investment Zone in terms of the number of new jobs in 2026, according to a report by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology summarizing the activities of entities operating in the Polish Investment Zone.

The Polish Investment Zone is one of the most important systems supporting business development. Companies investing in the Zone receive tax exemptions for new investments implemented throughout Poland.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology has awarded the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone accreditation for acceleration activities. The Pomeranian Special Economic Zone demonstrates the highest standards of quality and competence in supporting innovation.

The Zone’s flagship project is the “Acceleration Zone,” which is run by the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park team. The “Acceleration Zone” supports startups in three key sectors: life science, automation and robotics, and the maritime industry.

The Innovation Center of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone will participate in competitions for European and national funds supporting the development of entrepreneurship.
