BLUEDOTS PROJECT POLAND LIVING LAB – BALTIC SEA AND SPACE CLUSTER has the potential to create a DRON DUAL-USE HUB
The Baltic Sea and Space Cluster members met on June 26, 2026, at the MARITIME ADVANCED RESEARCH CENTRE (CTO S.A.) in Gdańsk. SUBSEE demonstrated the operation of floating drones performing underwater work in the MARITIME ADVANCED RESEARCH CENTRE (CTO S.A.) model pool.
Dr. eng. Mateusz Weryk, Scientific Director of the CTO, presented the research and development potential for designing and testing surface, underwater, and airborne drones (the CTO has a wind tunnel).
Magdalena Imbierowicz, Polish Register of Shipping, presented the potential for certification, certification, and training of drone operators.
Cluster members WSA SOLUTIONS, CADOR, BYOTTA, and the Gdynia Maritime School presented their technical and organizational capabilities in supporting the production and use of drones and training.
During the discussion, members of the BALTIC SEA AND SPACE CLUSTER concluded that the cluster has the potential to create a DUAL-USE DRON HUB. It will be coordinated by the SHIP TECHNOLOGY CENTER, supported by the POLISH REGISTER OF SHIP.
