The Baltic Sea and Space Cluster members met on June 26, 2026, at the MARITIME ADVANCED RESEARCH CENTRE (CTO S.A.) in Gdańsk.  SUBSEE demonstrated the operation of floating drones performing underwater work in the MARITIME ADVANCED RESEARCH CENTRE (CTO S.A.) model pool.

Dr. eng. Mateusz Weryk, Scientific Director of the CTO, presented the research and development potential for designing and testing surface, underwater, and airborne drones (the CTO has a wind tunnel).

Magdalena Imbierowicz, Polish Register of Shipping,  presented the potential for certification, certification, and training of drone operators.

Cluster members WSA SOLUTIONS, CADOR, BYOTTA, and the Gdynia Maritime School presented their technical and organizational capabilities in supporting the production and use of drones and training.

During the discussion, members of the BALTIC SEA AND SPACE CLUSTER concluded that the cluster has the potential to create a DUAL-USE DRON HUB. It will be coordinated by the SHIP TECHNOLOGY CENTER, supported by the POLISH REGISTER OF SHIP.

We would like to thank CTO President Jan Dobiński and the entire CTO team for the opportunity to integrate the activities of the BALTIC SEA AND SPACE CLUSTER members and launch the BSSC DRON DUAL-USE HUB initiative.

The meeting took place as part of the BLUEDOTS PROJECT POLAND LIVING LAB CAPACITY BUILDING.

26 czerwca 2026 odbyło się spotkanie członków Bałtyckiego Klastra Morskiego I Kosmicznego. W basenie modelowym Centrum Techniki Okrętowej, SUBSEE zaprezentowało działanie dronów pływających wykonujących prace podwodne. CTO przedstawiło potencjał badawczo-rozwojowy pozwalający projektowanie i badanie dronów nawodnych, podwodnych oraz latających [CTO ma tunel aerodynamiczny].

Polski Rejestr Statków zaprezentował potencjał związany z tworzeniem certyfikacji, certyfikowaniem i szkoleniem operatorów dronów. Potencjał techniczny i organizacyjny w zakresie możliwości wspierania produkcji i wykorzystania dronów i szkolenia przedstawili członkowie Klastra WSA SOLUTIONS, CADOR, BYOTTA, SZKOŁA MORSKA W GDYNI.

W czasie dyskusji członkowie BALTIC SEA AND SPACE CLUSTER doszli do konkluzji, że klaster posiada potencjał by utworzyć DRON DUAL-USE HUB. Jego koordynatorem będzie CENTRUM TECHNIKI OKRĘTOWEJ wspierane przez POLSKI REJESTR STATKÓW.
Dziękujemy Panu prezesowi CTO Janowi Dobińskiemu i całemu zespołowi CTO za możliwość integracji aktywności członków Klastra BALTIC SEA AND SPACE CLUSTER i podjęcia inicjatywy BSSC DRON DUAL-USE HUB.
