The Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority SA and Windar Renovables from Spain signed an agreement on the lease of land for a wind farm components factory.

Structure elements (towers and foundations) of wind turbines for offshore and onshore wind farms will be produced in Szczecin. The elements will be transported from the factory to installation sites at sea using sea transport.

The production plant will be built on a 17-hectare square. The square is located in the area of the Dębicki Canal in the Szczecin port. The factory will employ over 400 people. The value of the investment from the Spanish company will be approximately EUR 70 million. Windar Renovables operates in Poland through its subsidiary Windar Polska.
