Port of Gdynia – record-breaking US arms transshipment

Port of Gdynia. The largest ever load of military equipment of the United States Army was unloaded at the BCT terminal.

The Port of Gdynia is working on further projects so that this long-term cooperation will continue in the coming years – says Aleksander Wicka, head of the Marketing Department at the Port of Gdynia Authority.

The Port of Gdynia plans and implements further important investments in such a way as not to disrupt the continuity of transshipments. This has a huge impact on the development of economic cooperation and the security of Poland and the region of Central Europe.

Poland and Hyundai Rotem signed a framework agreement for the acquisition of a total of 1,000 K2 tanks. On December 6, 2022, the first K2 tanks and K9 gun-howitzers for Poland were unloaded at the terminal in the Port of Gdynia.

At the Port of Gdynia, we are prepared for further operations of this type planned for this year. The Port of Gdynia is facing a record-breaking year of transshipments of key importance for the economy and defense of the state – says Aleksander Wicka from the Port of Gdynia.
