CMA CGM CONCORDE with the LNG System in the Port of Gdansk

The second test unit of the shipowner CMA CGM called CONCORDE, powered by LNG, arrived at the Port of Gdansk. The container ship came to us as part of the newly opened French Asia Line 1 (FAL1) ocean service.
The first test call of the CMA CGM ship to the Baltic Hub terminal took place in mid-August. The vessel opening the new connection was the CMA CGM ZHENG HE container ship, flying the Maltese flag.
– From October, we will start regular connections on the French Asia Line 1 (FAL1) ocean service. Thanks to this, the Port of Gdansk will have a direct connection with #Busan, the largest container port in South Korea and the 6th largest in the world. Next month, ships under this service will call at Gdańsk on a weekly basis. Thus, the frequency of direct calls by ocean ships between Asia and Europe will increase to 3 times a week. We are glad that CMA CGM, one of the largest container ship owners, has appreciated the importance of our port for this part of Europe and confirms that it wants to develop its potential with the Port of Gdansk – says Tomasz Braun, director of the Strategy and Development Division of the Port of Gdansk.
