Polish seaports 2023 – high turnover – high profits

Polish sea ports handled almost 150 million tons – said Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Arkadiusz Marchewka during the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation. The total profits of the largest Polish sea ports exceeded PLN 450 million.
81 million tons of cargo were transhipped in the Port of Gdansk terminals in 2023. This is 12.7 million tons of cargo more than in 2022. Port of Gdansk Authority’s financial result amounted to PLN 212.9 million for 2023. This is a result higher by over PLN 72 million (net) year-on-year.
In the terminals of the Port of Gdynia, reloading reached 29.4 million tons. This is an increase of 5.25%. y/y. The Port of Gdynia Authority’s profit exceeded PLN 100 million. This represents an increase of 24 percent compared to 2022.
36 million tons of cargo were transhipped in the terminals of Szczecin and Świnoujście in 2023. The Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority achieved a net profit of PLN 140.8 million. This is 36.2 percent. more than in 2002.
