“LAW OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN MARITIME ECONOMY” CONFERENCE

XII NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MARITIME LAW “LAW OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN MARITIME ECONOMY”

The 12th National Maritime Law Conference entitled “Law of new technologies in maritime economy” will be held on April 18, 2024. The conference is organized by the Department of Maritime Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk, the Maritime Economy Research Center of the University of Gdańsk and the European Law Students Association ELSA Gdańsk.

The 12th National Maritime Law Conference “Law of new technologies in the maritime economy” is devoted to issues that currently have a strong impact on the transformation of legal relations in the maritime economy. From digitalization to artificial intelligence, blockchain and data analysis, the use of cutting-edge solutions is increasingly common to facilitate international maritime trade and support the functioning of public administration, in particular maritime administration. New technologies also open up many opportunities in terms of efficiency, accuracy and speed of port and sea turnover. The possibilities of introducing and using new technologies and artificial intelligence systems are constantly growing. They are already being used today to achieve the goals of a sustainable blue economy.

This year’s edition will traditionally be accompanied by a panel for young scientists, which will take place the day before – i.e. April 17, 2024.

Participation in the conference is free of charge, but prior registration is required.
